William Beckmann – Whiskey Lies Alibis

William Beckmann is drawn to things that have storiesto tell: historic buildings, old guitars, the vintagetypewriter on which he writes all of his lyrics. And if youcall the Texas singer-songwriter an old soul, the 28-year-old will take it as a compliment. Beckmann athrilling vocalist who sings in both English and Spanish has been recording and performing a type of vibrant,modern-day country music that also pays tribute towhat came before. Hailing from the small border townof Del Rio, TX, William Beckmann was raised on classiccountry as well as the mariachi and Norteo sounds ofnorthern Mexico. His 2022 album Faded Memoriesfeatures the slow-burn single Bourbon Whiskey, themesmerizing cover of Bruce Springsteens Im On Fire,and the haunting In The Dark. The album garneredpraise from critics including American Songwriter,Billboard, CMT and more. 2023s album Heres To You,Heres To Me included the fan-favorite, TennesseeDrinkin, and was Beckmanns fifth consecutive song tohit Top 20 on the Texas Regional Radio Chart. He hasspent the last year touring with artists including ParkerMcCollum, Hank Williams Jr., Charley Crockett, and theRandy Rogers Band in addition to selling out five of hisown shows at the legendary Gruene Hall andheadlining Billy Bobs Texas. In the Spring of 2023,Beckmann made his Grand Ole Opry debut and oneyear later he signed a record deal with Warner MusicNashville.
