Peter Frampton returns with Carry The Light, his first new album of original rock songs in 16 years. Written in part with his son Julian Frampton, the album arrives 50 years after Frampton Comes Alive! and follows Frampton’s decision to keep recording and performing after his 2014 diagnosis with Inclusion Body Myositis. Carry The Light is co-produced by Peter Frampton, Julian Frampton and Chuck Ainlay, with lacquer cut by Jeff Powell. Across its 10 songs, the album features Benmont Tench on keyboards for “Buried Treasure”, Graham Nash providing harmonies on “I’m Sorry Elle”, Sheryl Crow on the duet “Breaking The Mold”, Tom Morello on “Lions At The Gate”, H.E.R. on guitar for “Islamorada”, and Bill Evans on saxophone for both “Can You Take Me There” and “Tinderbox”.
