FREDDIE HUBBARD Hub-Tones (1962 US 1st issue of the classic Rudy Van Gelder recorded 5-track deep groove Stereo LP, on the New York USA label with ‘Inc’ & ‘R’ lettering, raised edges & RVG stampers & ‘ear’ markingsin the run-outs. Also stars James Spaulding, Reginald Workman, Clifford Jarvis and Herbie Hancock in what must surely be one of the top ten albums to own on Blue Note, with heavy duty pasted laminate sleeve & period company inner. This is a marvellous copy of this hard to find album. Obtained by its one previous owner, the heavy duty card sleeve is truly Near Mint, with minimal discolouration to the unlaminated back – with the 43 West 61st St address to back, and the company inner, with only light wear to edges.

The disc is graded Good, with obvious hairlines, mainly to Side 2. Some pops/clicks can be heard throughout Lament For Booker, but generally background noise is kept to a minimum. We’ve never had this issue before – when will we see another?
