Back in 1997 Saint Etienne addressed their quintessentially British typecasting by writing an album full of songs about a fantasyUS of A, recording it in Sweden and making videos in Havana. The resulting album, ‘Good Humor’ (named after theUS ice cream company – theUSLyons Maid) is timeless pop that is full of possibilities. It is home to top 30 hits ‘Sylvie‘ (number 12) and ‘The Bad Photographer‘ (number 27), the album itself reached number 18 on its release in 1998.
